DSF Logistics is part of a family of companies that dates back more than 45 years.
Deep South Freight, our asset based dry van carrier, and Deep South Freight Brokerage (now DSF Logistics) were incorporated in 1975 in Birmingham, Alabama. I purchased the companies in 1996 and later changed the name of our Brokerage division to DSF Logistics. Additionally, in 2007 I purchased Commercial Hauling Company (CHC), a friendly competitor who was located just down the street from our office. CHC is a dump trailer operation which runs both local freight and over-the-road.
Today, the two companies have more than 125 trucks and 400 trailers.
We have recently invested heavily in our Logistics future by opening a new office in Dallas, TX. We have operated on the McLeod Software platform for more than 30 years. Our management team has developed an exciting long-term growth plan to strategically locate our logistics operations where we have significant asset coverage. We believe that our family of companies have the ability to support each other and maintain our history of providing dependability to our Customers and Carriers.
